Azin Sharifi is a PhD in Sustainable Finance whose research focuses on AI-driven sustainability policy design and systemic economic resilience. She is the developer of the Green Economist framework, an agent-based, reinforcement-learning model that integrates economic activity (Gather–Trade–Build) with environmental externalities (Pollute) to study eco-economic dynamics under crisis conditions. Her work combines multi-agent reinforcement learning, climate risk modeling, and explainable AI to design adaptive sustainability policies and evaluate their impact on financial stability and environmental outcomes. By bridging sustainable finance, complex systems, and machine learning, she advances data-driven policy innovation for a resilient green economy.
